What we see
What percentage of my visits do you see?
Count on a third to half of your business visits; Dutch agencies call thirty to fifty percent realistic. We deliberately quote no fixed figure for your site. In your overview you see every month exactly how much we could link and why the rest could not be.
What do certain, probable and uncertain mean?
Certain is recognised by the office internet connection, or by a click in your own email. Probable is a business connection that usually belongs to that company. Uncertain means we could not link it with certainty, and we say so.
Do you see people working from home?
Often not. Someone on a regular home connection or on 4G cannot be linked to a company by anyone. If that person clicks a link in your email, they can.
Do you also see who at that company looked?
No. We see which company it was, not which person. That is not possible in Europe, and we do not pretend. The only exception is someone who clicks a link in your own email: then you know for certain.
What if a recognition is wrong?
Click This is wrong. The company disappears from your list and we become more careful with that link, for everyone.
Privacy
Is this allowed under the GDPR?
Yes. We recognise companies, not people, and we write nothing to the visitor's device. The legal basis is legitimate interest. What you need to arrange yourself is on the GDPR page.
Do I need a cookie banner?
Not for our script. It sets no cookie and uses no storage, so no consent is needed and it can run before your banner.
Do I need to put something in my privacy statement?
Yes, one paragraph. It is ready to copy, on the GDPR page.
Where is the data stored?
Everything about visitors is in Frankfurt. Two tools that fetch and summarise public web pages are in the United States; no connection address, name or email address ever goes there.
Can a company opt out?
Yes, without an account and without emailing us, on the opt-out page. One button, works immediately.
Using it
Is this for me if I sell to consumers?
No. Consumers look from a home connection or a phone, and no company can be derived from that. swungby is for companies that sell to companies.
What do I do with a company in my list?
Call, email, or leave it. Every company shows what they did and a suggestion for what to do about it. Who you can reach there is included when the company put that on its own site.
Can I remove it again?
Yes. Take the line off your site, and cancel your account with one button. What we recorded about your visitors disappears according to the periods in our privacy text.
Pricing
What does it cost?
Nothing while we are new. Later: free up to 50 companies a month, then €39, €99 or €249 a month. Every feature is in every plan.
What counts as a company?
Every unique company in a month; ten visits from the same company count once. More about what counts is on the pricing page.
What happens above my limit?
We keep counting and hide nothing. What that means exactly is on the pricing page.
How do I cancel?
With one button in your account, immediately. How that works and what happens to your data is on the pricing page.
Installation
How long does installing take?
Five minutes. One line on your site, and as soon as the first visitor comes by you see it on your screen.
Does it work on my website?
On every website where you can place one line of HTML. For WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace and the other common platforms the steps are on this site and in your setup screen.
Does it slow down my site?
No. The script is small and loads after the rest of your page.
What if my web developer does not want to place it?
Your setup screen has a button that puts everything in an email: the line, where it goes, and why no consent is needed. The script writes nothing to the visitor's device, and that is usually the concern.
Account
How do I log in without a password?
You enter your email address and receive a code by email. You enter it, and you are in. There is nothing to remember or to leak.
Can I add multiple websites or colleagues?
Not yet: one website per account. Multiple websites and colleagues are the next thing we build.
Do I get an email when something happens?
One email every weekday morning with who came by and what to do today. No email if there was nothing. Switched off with one button.
Which languages is swungby in?
This website is in Dutch and English. The product itself is in Dutch for now.
Within five minutes you see who came by.
One line on your site, and the first companies usually show up the same day.
