swungby on Google Tag Manager
One line, nothing else. Below is exactly where it goes in Google Tag Manager. You get the line itself on your screen as soon as you sign up; below is an example.
Where it goes
- Go to tagmanager.google.com and open the container of your site.
- Click Tags, then New, and choose Custom HTML as the tag type.
- Paste the line into the box.
- Under Triggering choose All Pages.
- Click Save and then Submit in the top right.
What usually goes wrong
That last step is the one most often forgotten. Without Submit the code is only in your draft and not yet on your site.
Put this line on your site
<script defer src="https://swungby.com/s.js" data-key="sw_7k2p9q"></script>Working. The first visit just came in.
And then
As soon as the first visitor comes by you see it on your screen, usually within a minute. If nothing shows up, your screen says in plain language what it usually is: not published, a cookie banner that blocks scripts, or an ad blocker in your own browser.
Does someone else look after your website?
Your setup screen has a button that puts everything in an email: the line, where it goes, and why no consent is needed. Your web developer is done in two minutes.
Other platform
Within five minutes you see who came by.
One line on your site, and the first companies usually show up the same day.
